Bio:

Naqi Haider is a dynamic community organizer, a poet and a scientist. Naqi is one of the founders of Muharram in Manhattan initiative which strives to provide inclusive religious programming for the Shia student and professionals in Manhattan. He received the Community Choice Award from Islamic Center of New York University for is community work.

Naqi has been core member for the American Council for Freedom in Bahrain, and Souls March (an advocacy organization focusing on the persecution of Shia community in Pakistan). Naqi is involved in various local and national initiatives relating to community empowerment advocacy and education.

He received his B.S. in Biotechnology with a concentration in philosophy from Rochester Institute of Technology and completed his Masters in Neuroscience in 2012 at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Naqi is currently adjunct faculty and teaches in field of bio-medical science and psychology
